This breed is also named after its district, an under-developed one, which is in
Rajasthan and not too far away from home-tract of Jamunapari.

This breed resembles a native breed of Tamilnadu, Kanniadu except for the body weight
and the drooping and folded lengthy ears which is a genetical gift of Jamunapari.

An adult buck weighs around 40 to 45kg. And an adult doe weighs about 30 to 35kgs.

This breed is more prolific than Sirohi and Parbatsari, with more percentage of twin kids.
Also, it can match the former breeds in milk production. A good doe may produce up to 3
kgs of milk in a day during peak milk yield days.
